Caption: Individuals put in their own pipes, either plastic or metal, to bring water a considerable distance from this spring to their houses.

Caption: The pine forest was covered with these little circles, where armadillos snuff around looking for ants.  We found some that had then been turned into traps by spiders.

Caption: Along the way we collected big pine cones (carried in a jacket) and walking sticks, all of which would be used for cooking back at the family compound.

Caption: This is back in Adrian's house in the city.  Adrian and two other brothers are in this mariachi band, which is their employment.  They are kept busy playing 6-7 days a week, often well into the night.

Caption: Our last night in Oaxaca, we all went down to the Zocalo, and walked around the city streets in the historical El Centro section.

Caption: The 14 year old daughter of the house, Gris, thought Isaac was very funny.  She put this stuffed dog on his cot as a joke, and was very amused when he hammed it up a bit.
